[ SPARK Magazine Issue No. 19 Layouts ]

From the SPARK website: “Since 2014, SPARK has come into its own as a leading print, online, and multimedia publication for emerging creatives in Austin and beyond. We are a diverse network of student talent, passionate about telling compelling stories, producing evocative visuals, and pushing the boundaries of art, culture, and fashion.”

I joined the Issue 19 staff as a Layout Designer and had the privilege to work on two incredible creative teams. Each team consisted of a writer, stylists, makeup artists, a photographer, models, and a layout designer (me!). Unfortunately, one of the stories I worked on had its photos cut, but this allowed me greater creative freedom with my layout.

SPARK has no doubt been one of the most challenging roles I’ve taken on, knowing the quality of work that the organization puts out. But I pushed myself and learned so much from the experience. With that being said, I’m proud of the work that I created, and it was so exciting to see my printed work in the final magazine.
